for all the students coming here next year in this class i hope you have alot of fun. i know i did. it may look hard but it really isn`t. its easy as 1 2 and 3. but i didn`t know that.

when i came in here i was really nerved up. but for those who know everyone in the class don`t just look at the new kid or the not new kid. you may just haven`t seen them around school. p.s THAT'S WHAT THEY DID ME.but its all good.

MY YEAR IN JOURNALISM WAS REALLY FUN. I MADE NEW FREINDS AND EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO MEET NEW PEOPLE.WHEN I SEEN WHO MY TEACHER WAS, I WAS SO HAPPY BECAUSE I SEEN HER AROUND SCHOOL LAST YEAR, BUT I DIDN` THINK I WOULD BE IN HER CLASS THIS YEAR. I THOUGHT THIS CLASS WOULD BE THE HARDEST OUT OF THEM ALL. YOU MIGHT SAY WHY WOULD YOUTHINK THAT? IT LOOK LIKE A EASY CLASS TO PASS.WELL ONCE I SEEN HOW WELL I WAS WRITING MY STORIES THEN I THOUGHT, I`M GOING TO PASS THIS CLASS BABY.

ON THE FIRST DAY I CAME IN THIS CLASS I WAS REALLY SACARD BECAUSE I DIDN`T KNOW ANYONE AND THE ONLY THING I DID WAS DO MY WORK AND JUST SIT BY MY COMPUTER UNTIL CLASS WAS OVER. EVERYONE IN CLASS THOUGHT I WAS SHY WHICH I WAS BECAUSE EVERYTIME I HAD TO SAY SOMETHING I WOULD SAY IT VERY LOW SO THEN KNOW ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO HEAR ME.EVERYONE WAS SAYING WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE HER TALK AND SOONER OR LATER I STARTED TO TALK MORE AND MORE AFTER THE WEEKS PASSED BY.

TIME WENT BY FAST AND WE HAD TO WRITE A STORY ABOUT ANYTHING WE WANTED TO SO I HAD KNOW PROBLEM WITH IT AS LONG AS IT KEPT ME FROM TALKING.THEN IT WAS NATHAN WHO REALLY GOT ME TO TALK BECAUSE I REALLY DIDN`T LIKE TALKING TO ANY ONE ELSE BECAUSE I DIDN`T KNOW THEM.BUT EVERYTHING WAS REALLY GREAT THIS YEAR IF YOU SEEN WHAT I SEEN THEN YOU WOULD SEE THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO BE UP IN HERE.

BUT NOW THESECOND SEMESTER CAME BY AND I WISH IT WAS STILL THE FIRST BECAUSE WE LOST ONE OF OUR CLASSMATE. HIS NAME IS WILL. HE WAS SO FUNNY AND DOWN T OEARTH. HE ALWAYS MADE PEOPLE LAUGH. HE EVEN MADE ME LAUGH ALL THE TIME. WHEN I HEARD HE WAS NOT COMING BSCK NEXT SEMESTER, I SAID TO MYSELF NOW CLASS IS GOING TO BE VERY STILL. THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE AS MANY FUN TIMES AS WE DID BEFORE HE LEFT. BUT WE STILL HAD FUN BUT NOT AS MUCH WHEN HE LEFT.OH AND MAY I SAY THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I LOOKED DEEPLY IN HIS EYES AND YOU CAN SEE THAT HE WANTED TO CRY AND I DIDN`T LIKE TO SEE HIM OR ANYONE ELSE LIKE THAT BECAUSE WE LOST ALOT OF FRIENDS THATWENT THERE LAST YEAR.

AND NOW MY LAST ONE MY YEAR IN JOURNALISM WAS FUN. bcs funniest moments

Hey BCS how`s it going? Have you ever i had a BCS funny moment? it could be from this year or last.well if you don`t have one right now let me tell you a few i can remember.One i remember is when the 12th graders had made a funny hat at the moving up ceromony and put it on their heads as they were leaving.Or when Hannah Bell dressed up in the Lions Roar Costume this year when we had a picnic.Now i know you remember that.or when daniell malette had threw the chalk eraser at mrs. Brown and it hit her in the head. Did i tell you it left her face white! so Mrs. Brown went to the back of the classroom and whiped the chalk off her face and did her makeup all over.

rural life museum

The Rural Life Museum been up for 34 years.They have over 20,000 people vist a year.They are rated top 10 for the best outside museum made.It open 8:30 A.M until 5:00 P.M everyday.If you wanted to go and have fun out in the air then it would be 9.00 dollars per person.Or just 7.00 dollars if you were a student of staff.


THE LOG CABIN

The log cabin had its beginnings in Europe.Some believe it was brought to the american in 1630`s by the Scandinavians (Swedes).Others believe that it originated in Germany and Europe.This question is still unanswered today.We do know that British settlers, who needed substantial shelter immediately.the log cabin as a means of protection from the elements.



Flat Boats

The flat boat at the Rural Life Museum is from the Laurette family’s old home in Sunshine.It was built around the same time the home was built.This one was kept under the barn on rollers to make it easily accessible. It was last used during the 1927 flood. Ethel Bartel Melancon of Baton Rouge donated it to the Rural Life Museum.




Plantation Kitchen Garden

Kitchen gardens were commonplace on all plantations to provide a source of food variety including fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs for seasoning, preservation, and medicinal purposes. The kitchen garden was near the kitchen and within a fenced area.Kitchen gardens are direct descendants of French and English gardens, where ornamental raised beds with decorative knots and mazes were a hallmark of the elegant country estates. During the early to mid-19th century, American gardeners, especially in the South, used these formal raised-bed gardens.





Outhouses

Outhouses or privies are enclosed outdoor toilets, usually simple structures placed to the rear of the property.Outhouses were frequently built under a tree to take advantage of the shade, and flowering vines and plants were often planted around them for aesthetic reasons. They enclosed one of more seats and sometimes baby seats.As with all locally built structures, the design and construction of outhouses ranged from the very primitive to the finely-finished and elaborate. The symbols carved in the doors and sometimes in the side walls furnished light and ventilation as well as decoration.

My Day At Southern University With My Sister

Have you ever had an older brother or sister that went to a university? Well I have a sister who is a freshman at Southern University. She wanted me to come and spend the day with her so I can see how it feels to be on campus. Well when I went to her first class I walked in and said good morning. But there was one thing my sister didn’t tell me....she didn’t tell me she had to take a quiz!!!So I went to sit next to her and her teacher told me he was having a class, I guess he thought I was one of them. So I had to sit in front of her while she took her quiz. I was as still as a chair until she got done and may I says I was so happy to get out of there. Next she told me she had English. Now that was the class I really wish she could have left early. You will not believe it if I told you her teacher told me if I was not a student, then I couldn’t sit in her class. So for the next 50 minutes, I had to stand out in the hallway until she came out. But luck me I called my aunt and we talked until she came. Now she was on a 2 hour break and we had burger king and watched a little TV. Then we had nothing else to do so we just walked around until she went to her next class. Now we were in history. He didn’t tell me to get out and I was so glad. I really liked this class because I was doing nothing but texting my friends and of course my sister. I know your thinking isn’t she suppose to be doing her work in class? Well she was but at the same time she was texting.Next was biology. Her teacher just started teaching right when everyone got in. She reminds me of one of my teachers here. Now it was her last class and I was so happy because my feet started to talk to me (if you know what I mean).She was headed for math and I was glad to be in that class too because she didn’t even look at me, but the students did. They looked me like who is she. Over all I really enjoyed my day with my sister. It was like our bounding time. I can’t wait until I graduate and attend Southern University.

how jornalism rocks

have you ever had a class you never wanted to leave out of??yea i have one journalism. i never want to leave out because there is so many people that are funny and make me laugh all the time.i mean if you were here in this class then you will see how awsome it is.the teacher is like soooooooo nice. i never got in trouble with her and i don`t want to.

if you just see what i see and played the games i played then you will see that as long as you do your work and do the right thing then it will look very easy to pass this class.but the thing is that you have to do a lot andi`m not just saying it just to say it but when i say a lot i mean you do a lot of BLOGING.you have to .we have know choice but to do it.

you get to meet new people. you get to go places you never went before ever in your life time. but you learn a lot along the way. you learn that you can do a lot of things you never thought you can do.you even watch movies you never thought had a meaning to .but the best part is yet to come.

in the movie, he loved to smoke.i mean he always had one in his hand.in every scene that was in the movie that is all you seen. he was very determined to get to the end of this stuff that was going on. he wanted to get to the bottom of it but he was not going to stop until he gets some answers.he and his Friend well i`m not going to say friend i`m going to say worker because they really didn`t like each other in the beginning.

• he was more of the type that when you got done with your work when you turn around he would get your work then try to fix or make a change to it. now i would not want any one doing that to my work.but once they seen that they had this big thing with Nixon,they knew they had to but their differences aside and get the job done.it took them like forever to do that but they did it and they got it done and everyone who was in the big thing either went to jail or got charge for breaking in.

This year at BCS was so fun don`t you think?We had new students come and we even had new teachers join.My year here was awesome and i can`t wait until next year.i`m going to have all new teachers well maybe not all but its going to be fun.Now that where getting older,it`s getting closer to graduation for some of us.I just can`t wait until that day! I had fun here at BCS and i know you had fun also.i mean, BCS is like so awesome right?we all had our ups and downs but that's o.k because we have each other.i know one thing i loved about this year that was so awesome. it was when i had the chance to meet alot of students in elementary.i know some people would think that going to see them would be the worse thing that happen to them but it was the best thing that happen to me because i have friends on that side now.but what is your happiest moment here at BCS this year? go run and tell a Friend,let them hear how much fun you had here at BCS.

Friendship

My friendship with my friends are well i guess.i have this one friend who is like my best friend ever.when i say ever i mean ever. we been friends since 5th grade,and we still are friends til this day.we don`t talk alot.but we still have each others numbers.so lets just say if i get bored and have nothing to do i can just look her number up in my phone and start talking to her about how school is and how much i miss her.and i don`t forget to call her when ever i`m having a party.

MY next best friend goes here. her name is candace.she been going here since she was in the second grade.but now i`m going to miss her so much because she is going to be going to a different school next year, so i`m going to be here by myself next year.when i came here last year she was the first one to talk to me and i was so happy because i was so nervoue.i did not know what to do i was just glad i had her here with me because she is the friend i can talk to when i`m down.

My other friend is denae.she is like so awesome because she is never mad at anything or anybody.she always have a smile on her face and that is the number one thing i love about her. she never yells at you if you make her mad she just say ''what ever" and go back to what she was doing.she have so many friends here you just don`t know where to stop counting them until your mouth gets really really dry and you will need a drink of water and you would have to go back and count again.

I have a friend who is like so cool you just know when she is happy. why i say that is because she always says hey to you when you walk by her.she is never down ,she sings for us when we have a game.now do you know who i`m talking about now? yes you are right if you guessed Antronia. she is like so cool and may i say she makes you laugh all the time.one time i was working at the last LSU game, and her and Megan were just going on and on about this person they saw, so then me and my sister Megan just started to laugh and they wee trying to see what we were laughing at but then they seen what we were laughing at what they had said about this person.

Do you have a friend you can tell everything to? do you have a friend you can tell your secrets to?well i have so many friends.i can tell my Friends any and everything if i wanted to.but you know what/I'm not because i know they would want to know then lets just say we get into a big augment then they will go around and tell everybody what i said.so i keep what i want to say in. but if you have a friend you want to tell everything to then you can do that.

Now you need to always remember that you're always going to have a friend to count on. you are not going to be all alone. you will always have someone to talk to.be friends with the people who are new at your school.you don`t always have to talk to them you can just say hey and how re you and just go on about your business. but always be nice to the people you first meet. nad make sure to be come closer to them. you never know they might end up being your new best friend.

AS WE ALL KNOW, HAITI`S BEEN THROUGH ALOT. THEY LOST THEIR FAMILY'S AND EVEN SOME OF THEIR FRIENDS. ONE MAN IN HIS EARLY TWENTIES SAID THAT SOMETHING COLLAPSED ON HIM. IT HAD HIM ON HIS BACK FOR THE WHOLE TIME. THE ONLY THING HE COULD EAT WAS COLA,BEER, AND COOKIES.I READ IT IN THE PAPERS THIS MORNING.

THIS OTHER MALE SAID THAT HE COULDN'T`T REALLY TELL IF IT WAS NIGHT OR DAY TIME BECAUSE SO MUCH STUFF WAS IN HIS WAY,I READ THIS MORNING.AND SAID THAT THE OR WERE 132 PEOPLE WHO MADE IT OUT. ONE WOMEN IN HER EARLY THIRTY'S SAY THAT HER CHILD IS STILL OUT THERE AND THAT IT IS`NT TO SOON TO STOP LOOKING AND THAT SHE WANTED THEM TO STILL LOOK FOR HER CHILD.SHE REALLY WANT THEM TO FIND HER BABY BECAUSE SHES OUT NOW SHE WANT THEM TO HELP FIND HER BABY AND GET HER CHILD OUT.

IF YOU WENT THROUGH THIS WHAT WOULD YOU DO ,HOW WOULD YOU ACT, WOULD YOU PRAY TO GOD THAT EVERYTHING WOULD BE ALRIGHT FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY?PEOPLE ARE HEART BROKEN. THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. THEY ARE STRUGGLING TO GET THEIR LIFE BACK ON TRACK.BUT TO MAKE IT WORSE, ANOTHER ONE HIT. TELL ME ONE THING, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

my first choice would have to be Denae. She knows how to make fudge so good once you get down with one piece you want another.You just can`t get enough of it once you put it in your mouth. Everybody might not be a fan of fudge but once you get a piece of hers then you will change your mind.I learn that you need alot of ingredients for it. i really thought that you just get your chocolate and just wait until it`s hard and then you have you fudge. but you need alot of things i would not have known you would have needed to make it.I didn`t like it I LOVED IT!!!. It was the best tasting fudge ever!like i said before you have to try it in order to believe it.

My second choice would have to be Tim's. I liked how he showed us the tools and i also liked the way he presented it in the class. he also took his time and make show that everyone had chance to see what he was doing.I also liked the little tree he bought in. I learned that he knew alot about what he was talking about and not just making things up (LIKE I WOULD HAVE DONE) (just kidding).And that he knew it so well that he didn`t have to waste alot of time on it as well.I liked it because he knew what he was doing.

my last choice would have to be kish kish. She had an awesome presentation and she also let us here one of her songs early in the year. but she is very talented and i really liked hers alot.i liked hers because i know she loves to sing and i know it was like her best thing and that she can really write songs and that i believe everybody loved to hear what she had to say. and i learned that she can write good songs and if i could get her to sing at a party then i would.

my least was when we had to do the videos. i really never liked going in front of the class and just start talking about anything. i would never do that ever ever ever again.





Blogging is fun when you get the hang of it. At first, when i came in here i was telling myself, i`m not going to be to good at this writing thing.But when i seen my story the paper i told myself ``Alexis,you are a really good writer.'' But anyway blogging is just fun to me now. why i say that? i know you`re probably thinking blogging is not fun at all well you know what it is fun if you make it fun. you can look things up you never thought existed until now.




one blog assignment i looked the most and i would rank this story #1 would be when you picked out everyone someone to writer a paragraph about and i had Hannah Montana and i had so much to write about because i watch her show all day long. that would have to be number 1 because it is just so awesome just to see her do her thang and also have fun with it to.if you like what she`s giving to youthen you`ll love to write and stay. #2 would have to be when we have to write NP ideas. you might thing writing all of these ideas might not be to good to me because i don`t like to write it alot.#3 is when we had to write about alot of the government things and i really didn`t understand why we had to do it and i really didn`t get the hang of it but she ended up leting us stop and working on another project.
